The most amazing thing I have ever done in my life is travel. I really enjoy travelling on buses because when I took the bus to school, I would often get to watch the birds singing at sunrise. The traffic, surprisingly, was a plus point, as it allowed me to have more time to complete my projects, homework, and presentations. Travelling by bus is my favourite kind of travel because I get to see so many people and it is so full of life. I spend most of my time by myself at home, where I don't get to connect or see many people. But when I travel, I get to experience a lot of things.
For me, travel has always been therapeutic. I began travelling alone in buses when I was in class six, and I still mostly go by public transportation. I call it romanticising life because living in a big city and using public transportation is risky, but on the plus side, it makes me stronger and more fearless. Every day you get to learn new things from new people and take in the beauty of the city, and the best part is that when you sit by the window and enjoy the sunset while tuning in to your favourite music. The traffic and then the breeze that blows through your hair gives you the energy of the main character, and this is what makes life worth living.
Travelling to my birthplace, Madurai, is always my favourite destination. Madurai is renowned for its historic temples and mouth-watering cuisine. The Meenakshi Amman Temple, Jasmine blossoms, and Jigarthanda are the first things that come to mind when I think of Madurai. The sweeping views of the city's greenery is what makes it so beautiful. Melatirumanicam, a little village in Madurai close to Usilampatti, is where I was born. This location is well-known for its customs, temples, and, more specifically, its historic temples and their little-known past.

My favourite thing about visiting my hometown is that it's surrounded by greenery, and as you drive by, you can see the hills accompanying you. That's the best part about travelling there; nature walks alongside you and adds a romantic touch. Because the locals are so genuine and emotionally linked, I enjoy every aspect of my travels. I also like using the private buses in Madurai because of the atmosphere they create because the music that is played are mainly iconic 90s tunes. Feelings of regret have no place while I'm on my way to my homeland. When I return to my home homeland, I never feel lonely or alone because the surrounding hills, greenery, and fresh air create the perfect backdrop for an amazing trip.
I've been romanticising every tiny detail of my life, but I've never had the opportunity to explore more. I had always wanted to be at a beach where I could feel the waves swish my feet off. I believe that when the waves hit or swipe my feet, I would be able to let go of my painful memories and go on. I want to run along the waves, play on the beach, and relax and watch the sunset and sit at the beach under the moonlight while listening to the waves. My only goal is to make this a reality. And I hope that someday, I get to travel to my heart’s content.
